The history Rocky Mountain

1997
The group Procycle, a Canadian company of very great reputation, acquires Rocky Mountain Bicycles and exploits it like independent company. All the personnel and the exploitation are based with the factory of Delta in Colombia-British.
1998
Rocky Mountain launches the first true bicycle of style Freeride, the Pipeline. Mix models DH and XC, the Pipeline offer an adjustment " on the champ" with a clearance from 4 to 6 inches. Rocky Mountain becomes also the first company in the world to finance a professional team of Freeride. Rocky Mountain mixed liability company also the new film on the freeride entitled Kranked. The whole world can be now filled with wonder in front of the prowesses at Richie Schley, Wade Simmons and Brett Tippie, which revolutionized this sector of industry.
1999
One year extraordinary for Rocky Mountain which grows with the the United States with an annual rhythm of 40%, all the more impressive as the market is depressed. The sales in Europe also continue to grow. Production capacity increases further and a news Machine-outil with numerical control is acquired to support the production and to preserve manufacture at the workshop. But it does not matter the growth, all the bicycles continue to be built with Vancouver. In the same year, our chief engineer gains the prestigious price of the National Design Engeneering Contest. The slogan " Discover the difference/Ride the difference" is introduced.
2000
The Element Race is named " Bicycle of the année" by the German magazine Mountain Bike Magazine
2001
Birth of Slayer: a new weapon to be gained is available! Wade Simmons shows her incredible talent by gaining the first competition RedBull Rampage Freeride. The readings of Mountain Bike Magazine to the the United States choose Rocky Mountain as being the company of bicycle to the more strong growth. Rocky Mountain Bicycles obtains certification ISO. 2002
Slayer is named " Bicycle of the année" by the magazine Mountain Biking. Birth of Switch. 2003 Birth of the ETSX. Bike Action celebrates the 15 years of sales of Rocky in Germany.
2004
Marie-Helene Prémont gains a money medal to the Olympic Games of Athens on a bicycle Rocky Mountain.
2005
Launching of the program special edition VTT, 20th birthday of the Blizzard, launching of the new slogan " Coil the Ride" : a whole program.
2006
Rocky Mountain celebrates 25 years of manufacture to the hand and the Element celebrates 10 years of manufacture
2007
Element 70 is elected " Bicycle of the année" by the magazine Mountain Biking.
