Rockollection
Rockollection is a Chanson of Laurent Voulzy, with words of Alain Souchon. It presents the originality to make alternate the verses due to the Voulzy/Souchon tandem, with Reprise again S of various artists of Rock.
The word Rockollection is a Mot-valise made of Rock and Collection. One can see also there a Pun on the English word, which means the action to remind something.
The song evokes the life of a teenager in the Années 1960, with some words in Argot of the time: College, loves with girl S in Skirt folded and tail of horse, Scooter S, certif' (which rhyme with hairs that one does not want to be made cross of fear of having “the ball with zero”), Holidays in Camp-site (with Saint-Malo “with relative S in shirt which dances on Luis Mariano”), the job of summer which would have allowed the purchase of the Guitare, the return in the Banlieue, the baby, Record dealer S (from where one arises “with individual of Stones hidden under his clothes”), the American Rêve…
There remains to him the memory of the Chanteur S with the radio which marked this time of its Vie ( “of the tricks which still stick to him with the Cœur and with the body” ):
