Biography

Scenario writer French documentarist. After studies of History and History of art with Strasbourg, Robin Hunzinger begins studies of cinema with Jussieu with Jean Douchet, Jean Rouch and Bernard Cuau. At the time of the beginning of the war in Bosnia, this one encourages it to leave to Sarajevo, which it will do in February 1993. It will not bring back any image of the city in state of siege but will return with a major desire to learn the trade from documentarist.

It is in 1996, always in Sarajevo, whereas he writes his report of DEA in Information sciences on the narrative speech of the tv news compared to the war in Bosnia which he meets the producer Bruno Florentin with which he writes a film on the town of Gorazde. “ Gorazde, Psychogéographie of a border ” will be the first film of Robin Hunzinger, supported by UNESCO and Documenty Fund de Soros Institut of New York. It approaches certain sets of themes which one will find in all his following films: the war, the border, memory, nature, the man vis-a-vis the unthinkable one.

Parallel to his work of documentarist, Robin Hunzinger is the author of documentary radiophonic for France Culture and Arte-radio.com. He is publication director of the Review of the Resources, spaces of exchange between the world of the writing and the image.

2004 : “Natzwiller-Struthof: A French memory”, Documentary film, 59 minutes, stereophony,

It is a film to include/understand the invisible one and the out-fields of the memory, lapse of memory and history of the concentration camps of Struthof, near in that to the thought of the philosophers Paul Ricoeur and Walter Benjamin: a film on what resists, on what remains and is erased in the memory of a place, in fact the old concentration camp of Natzwiller-Struthof located in Alsace in the Vosgean solid mass.

The hut of the recourse to the forests is a " théorique" place; a " experiment of pensée" , or a " psychique." place; This documentary film questions the concepts of rebellion, experiment and play, criticism or Utopia which the idea opens even hut.

2002: 1942: Inquire of mémoire" Documentary film, 52 minutes, Béta-num. 16/9, stereo

This film proposes, through the investigation of a historian, the chronicle of the year 1942 in Alsace marked by the beginning of the incorporation of force of the Alsatian young people in the German army. This event is a true turning for Alsace in the war. It from now on will live the blackest hours of its history.

Having grown to a few kilometers of the Rhine, I never went to Germany. The Rhine always marked for me an insuperable unconscious border. During this Voyage in the interval, I sought to include/understand this refusal through the history of my family and his relations with the border which separates France from Germany. This road-movie personnel, with his subjective logbook, is a reflection on the transmission of the concept of border.

1999: " Pioneers of Paysage" 43 minute old documentary film

In the Vosgean solid mass, pioneers launch out in operations of grubbing in order to open the landscape. Through their pilot actions, they draw the new face of the Vosgean territory. This film answers the crucial questions: vis-a-vis impoverishment, the regression and the abandonment of the campaigns, how can one fight? Who will go responsible for this reserve with a future?

1999: " Traces of guerre" 26 minute old documentary film,

If the profession is primarily male, there are ten démineuses in the world of which Amela, 27 years, and Raza, 37 years two Bosnian young women who déminent the border. They work in duet: when one démine, the other observes it to prevent the accident and to intervene if need be.

1998: " Gorazde, psychogeography of a frontière" 52 minute old documentary film

The geography of the enclave of Gorazde in the east of Bosnia-Herzégovine resembles a regrouping which would not have respected any human terminal, no geographical and topological texture. Gorazde became in spite of it a universal example, small Berlin without wall, a prison without bar, an island without sea.
