Roberto Calasso
Roberto Calasso (born in 1941 with Florence, in Tuscan -) is a writer and Italian editor. Its works, largely translated, show a wide scholarship and an invaluable style.
Biography
After having attended the traditional college, it passes its thesis with Mario Praz on I geroglifici di Sir Thomas Browne (hiéroglyphes of Sir Thomas Browne).At 21 years, on the authorities of his friend and mentor Bobi Blazen, it joined the prestigious publisher Adelphi, of which he will become the director of the editions in 1971, then to advise deputy in 1990 and finally president in 1999. In 2004, it becomes visiting professor near the Université of Oxford for the pulpit of compared European literature.
