Robert de Flers

Robert Pellevé of the Mound-Ango, marquis of Flers is a French dramatic author born with Pont-l'Ev4eque cheese (Apple-brandy) the November 25th 1872 and died in Vittel (the Vosges) the July 30th 1927.
Biography
Descendant of old and illustrates family of Normandy, wire of a sub-prefect of Pont-l'Ev4eque cheese (Apple-brandy), Robert de Flers made studies of letters and right and thought of entering the diplomacy before turning to the literature and journalism. He was the school-fellow of Marcel Proust with the Lycée Condorcet and they were to remain very dependant throughout their lives. He married in 1901 the girl of Victorien Sardou. He had as a secretary the young person Gaston Gallimard.A voyage in the East at the end of its studies, inspired its first writings to him: a news, the Taïa Courtesan and her green monkey , a tale, Ilsée, princess of Tripoli and an account of voyage, Towards the East .
It was before any dramatic author. He wrote initially in collaboration with Gaston Arman de Caillavet of the merry and spiritual comedies, such as the Lord de Vergy (1903), the Paths of the virtue (1903), Pâris or the good judge (1906), Miquette and his mother (1906), Primerose (1911), the green Dress (1913). During fifteen years, the duet reigned as a Master on the Boulevard
After the death of Caillavet, occurred in 1915, Robert de Flers only found on the theater of the First World War, where he played between France and the Romania a diplomatic role of foreground. Returned peace, it collaborated with Francis de Croisset: Vines of the lord (1923), the New Sirs (1925), the Doctor miracle (1926). Together they gave the booklet of the operetta Ciboulette (1923), on a music of Reynaldo Hahn.
In 1921, Robert de Flers became literary director of the Figaro . He was also general adviser of the Lozere. With Cavaillet, it was committed defending the innocence of Alfred Dreyfus. He was elected with the French Academy on June 3rd 1920.
