Robert Tarjan

Robert Endre Tarjan (born the April 30th in 1948 in Pomona in California) is an American data processing specialist. He discovered many algorithms in Graph theory.

He received the Prix Turing with John Hopcroft in 1986, for their work on the creation and the analysis of structures of data and the Prix Nevanlinna in 1982.

In 2005, he is professor in Informatique with the Université of Princeton.
