Robert Sink

The Lieutenant Général Robert Frederick Sink (April 3rd 1905 - December 13rd 1965) was an officer of the armed forces of the the United States of America during the Second world war, the Guerre of Korea, the Panama, as well as the beginning of the Guerre of Vietnam. It is famous to have ordered the 506e regiment of parachuted infantry of the 101e airborne division.

Second world war

In 1940, Robert Sink was affected with the 501e regiment of parachuted infantry with Fort Benning. Later it ordered the 503e regiment of parachuted infantry. In 1942 it was named ordering 506e regiment of parachuted infantry with Toccoa, in Georgia. Sink ordered the 506e during all the second world war and refused two promotions to remain with its unit.
