Robert Silverberg

Robert Silverberg , born the January 15th 1935 with New York, is a writer and particularly prolific short story writer.

Biography

It publishes its first news with 18 years and its first novel, Révolte on Alpha C, hardly one year later. It gains at 20 years the Prix Hugo of the most promising author . This first dedication involves it in a considerable work with, in a few years (period 1957/1959), the writing of at least 200 short or new stories and ten novels, the majority food, under many pseudonyms.

In 1958, the bankruptcy of the American News Company , the principal distributer of pulps , involves in its fall a good number of titles. In parallel, he writes in 1985 the Lord of darkness , a African epopee inspired by his literary model of always, Joseph Conrad, like one of the most famous novels of the Fantasy , Gilgamesh, king d' Ourouk , published in 1989. The decade of the years 1990 remains prolific with works where the technical control of the kind hardly hides the food priorities.
