Robert Schwint

Robert Schwint is a French politician. Born the January 11th 1928 with Montbeliard, he is member of the Socialist party until in 1998, year when he leaves the party because of a refusal of Pierre Moscovici, chief candidate PS in the Doubs for the regional elections of the same year, to place its wife Simone Schwint in position of eligibility on the regional list.

Biography

Robert Schwint was born the January 11th 1928 with Montbeliard. He is high in a rather modest family since his/her father is carpenter and his/her mother is cleaning lady. Its education is strict with Protestant tendency Lutheran initially from her parents and then by attending the Protestant youth movements.

Once its patent out of pocket, it leaves to study in Besancon with the Teacher training school teachers of Besancon where it passes a modern baccalaureat and another in applied sciences. It thus begins its professional path as a teacher in the Haut-Doubs and creates in 1952 a public course complementary to the Russey where existed only two private establishments.

It takes down its first political mandate in 1959 while becoming Maire of this commune of the Russey, of rather preserving tradition. It is re-elected there in 1965 then again in 1971, year or it also manages to be made elect Senator Doubs then with becoming member then president of the commission of the social Affairs. In 1977, it is elected mayor of Besancon, where it will connect four successive mandates until in 2001. In 1988, it gives up its mandate of senator to become appointed, function which it occupies during five years.

Since September 1st, 2007, a street of the allotment of Rondeys, to the Russey, bears the name of Robert Schwint.
