Robert Saucier

Robert Saucier was born with Edmundston, Nouveau Brunswick, the 2l May 1951. He lives and works with Montreal since 1974.

August 1st Robert Saucier is interested in the means of communication (radio, television, Internet) and in the increasingly large place that those occupy in our physical and intellectual space. Its recent works are characterized by the presence of a technology applied where the light acts like energy source activating of the receivers radios or the tape recorders. Machines which cannot lie testifies to the importance of meteorology in the urban context. People of the district who attend the park are confronted with sculpture-machines, functioning with solar energy, which collect weather reports on various radio frequencies. Robert Saucier wants to show that meteorology tends to play a part of placebo in substituent with nature and that the townsman médiatise his report/ratio at the temperature by apprehending the environment via machines and instruments.
