Robert Royer

Robert Royer born with Ixelles on July 16th, 1906, deceased with Woluwé-Saint-Lambert on July 7th, 1979, is a militant Christian and a Walloon militant which was Resistance and directed one of the most powerful organizations of public credit, CGER (acquired by Fortis in the years 1990). It is in 1945, after having directed catholic Wallonia during the Occupation which it creates Walloon Rénovation. It is also present at the Walloon National congress of 1945 and member of its Standing Committee. It highly reacts in 1950 against the very hard reaction of the Belgian government vis-a-vis the Walloon protests against the return of Léopold III, at the point of to divide the movement which it created.
