Robert Prigent

Robert Prigent is a man Politique and a trade unionist French. Born the November 24th 1910 with Saint-Pol.-on-Sea (Northern), it is deceased the July 13rd 1995 with Paris.

Biography

He is secretary of the local union of the trade unions C.F.T.C of Dunkirk when he adheres to the popular Democratic party. He organizes the working family Mouvement during the war.

In September 1943, he is member of the provisional Consultative Assembly with Algiers, he makes adopt, with the ordinance carrying organization of the public authorities, an amendment which introduces the vote of the women.

With the Release, Robert Prigent is named with the direction of the General police station to the family. He is elected appointed M.R.P. of the department of North at the two constituent Assemblies then appointed with the National Assembly (1945 - 1951). He is several times minister, in particular of the Population.

He exerted then various functions in the associative medium in relation to his Christian and trade-union convictions.
