Robert Prévost (theater)
Robert Prévost (1927 - 1982) was a creator of decorations.
Born in 1927 in the Rosemont district, it makes its entry with the Théâtre of the New World in 1953 for which it realizes more than 75 decorations: Sanctimonious hypocrite, Don Juan, the Master of Santiago and especially the hypochondriac which will be acclaimed in America and in Europe.
He was the creator of the decorations of the principal theatrical productions to the Canada such as those of the Festival of Stratford, the Grands Canadian Ballets and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. It work also with the Theater of the Green Curtain where he carries out ten decorations, for the opera and television. Prévost was regarded by much as the uncontested Master of the Scénographie to the Canada and the Quebec.
