Robert Louis-Dreyfus is French of Swiss origin naturalized in 1995. He is titular of a diploma of the Ecole of the Leaders and Company founders (EDC) and of a MBA Harvard Business School.

Wire of a rich person family, the family Louis Dreyfus, nothing obliged it in its youth to carry out the career of captain of industry which it led.

Of 1982 with 1988, Robert Louis-Dreyfus controls and directs the company IMS Health of studies Pharmaceutique S to the the United States. Of 1989 with 1993, it directs the agency of Publicité Saatchi & Saatchi to London. Of 1993 with 2001, it repurchases and directs Adidas then Solomon.

In 2002, it acquires the company Neuf Telecom near Telecom Italia and of Bouygues Telecom, which wishes to disengage fixed telephony, whereas it sees there a future in the development of the offers on ADSL, on the model of Free. In 2005, it amalgamates Last nines with Cegetel to form Neuf Cegetel, making company the first FAI of many subscribers. In 2007, it always sits at its board of directors.

July 18th 2007, he became majority shareholder of the family group with a participation ranging between 51 and 55% per 1,5 billion euros. He is also the principal leader.

In the world of football

In margin of his community activities, Robert Louis-Dreyfus is interested actively in the world of football.

In 1997, it is called by the town hall of Marseilles to become the principal shareholder and Mécène of the Olympique of Marseilles (O.M.). But, in the business of the accounts of the club, he is condemned for “abuse of corporate asset” to three one-year suspended sentences and 375.000 euros of fine in June 2006.

In 2007, it does not have any more a relation with the O.M. but he is administrator and shareholder of the Standard of Liege, the football club of the town of Liege, in Belgium.
