Robert Klark Graham
Robert Klark Graham (1906 with Harbor Springs, Michigan] - February 13rd 1997) was a Généticien and an American business man.
Geneticist and a business man who thrives by developing lenses of plastic monocle and thus unbreakable. Also known to have created in 1980 the Deposit for the Germinal Choice, a bank of sperm reserved for the geniuses in the hope to be able to implement programs of eugenism. Initially, its intention was to obtain the only spermatozoa of the prizes winner of the Nobel Prize, but the shortage of donors and the weak viability of their sperm (because of the age) pushed Graham to develop a greater number of criteria. These criteria were many demanding and debatable: the men were to have an intelligence quotient above 180, while the women were to be married and in good health.
Before 1983, the bank of sperm of Graham was famous to have 19 donors recurring qualified like genius, including William Shockley - Nobel Prize of physics and in favor of the Eugénisme - like two Prices Nobels anonymities in the field of sciences.
The bank is closed in 1999, two years after the death of its creator. 218 children were born under its auspices.
The paramount goal of Graham was the genetic improvement of human population, as well as the nutrition of lately conceived geniuses. This form of eugenism " positive" was supposed to increase the number of individuals " convenables". It caused many controversies.
