Robert Jonquet

Robert Jonquet (known as the Hero of Highbury ) is a player of Football French, born the May 3rd 1925 with Paris, defender central, of 1m 76 per 70 kg. It was formed in Châtenay-Malabry, then with the S Voltaire of Paris. After a brillantissime career with the Stage of Rheims of 1946 to 1960, then with the Racing Club of Strasbourg in 1960/61, he became trainer of Strasbourg, Rheims and Rumilly.

In 1958, it fractured the leg vis-a-vis the Brésil in semi-final of World cup, having to remain on the ground as the payment stipulated it then, the replacements in the course of match being prohibited at the time. It also took part in the World cup 1954, and the first Championnat of Europe of the Nations in 1960 in Paris.

As trainer, it gained the Championnat of France of division 2 in 1966 with Rheims.
