Robert Jan Stips

Robert Jan Stips is a musician Dutch born the February 4th 1950 with $the Hague.

It became famous while being keyboards, producing arranger and with Supersister. That was worth an invitation to him to join Golden Earring in 1975, one of the most famous group Dutch of the time. Robert Jan Stips took share with the triumphal American round of 1976 but left then the group to go to train Stars & Stips which left the album Nevergreens in 1976 then formed Sweet d' Buster with the saxophonist Bertus Borgers.

In 1979, Robert Jan Stips left Sweet d' Buster and formed Transister, which left an album: Guy Zag . In 1981, it left its first disc solo ( U.P. ) and became the keyboards of The Nits which it had already produced. Michiel Peters having left, Henk Hofstede had left the keyboards to take again the Guitare. While playing with The Nits, Robert Jan Stips produced albums for Cloud Nine and Speed. He is also the principal author of the single orchestral work of Nits: Hjuvi - has Rhapsody in Time .

Robert Jan Stips left Nits in 1996 at the end of their round Greatest Hits and created the group STIPS which left an album: Egotrip . STIPS left two albums in collaborration with Freek de Jonge: Gemeen Goed in 1997 then Rapsodia in 1998. In 1999, it left two named albums solo Greyhound and Rembrandt 2000 (at the time of a great exposure Rembrandt to $the Hague). In 2003, it found Nits for the round of their thirtieth birthday. It since continued since to take part in the albums and rounds of Nits.
