Robert Ier de France
Robert Ier (865 - 923), wire junior by the count of Anjou Robert the Fort, he was the brother of Eudes which became king of the Francs West in 888.
Named by Eudes as chief of several counties, including the County of Paris and the Walk of Neustrie, Robert was also abbot in commendam several abbeys. He obtained also the duchy of the Francs, a very important military dignity. He did not assert the crown of France when his/her brother died in 898, but he recognized the claim of the Carolingian king , Charles III Simple the, which confirmed dignities of Robert. Robert continued to defend the north of France against the attacks of the Normands.
Peace between Charles III and Robert lasted until in 921. The clergy and the noble ones were irritated against the king Charles III who supported the count Haganon particularly. With the support of noble most powerful, Robert attacked king Charles who flees in Lorraine. Robert was crowned king of the Francs with Rheims Sunday June 30th 922. Charles gathered an army and walked against Robert, and the June 15th 923, Robert was killed by Fulbert (Faubert, Foubert) during the battle of Soissons. According to certain tradition, Robert fell in duel with Charles.

He married then Béatrice de Vermandois, girl of Herbert Ier, count de Vermandois and had this one:
- Emma, married towards 918 with Raoul, duke of Burgundy, then king de France.
- Hugues Large the, Duke of the Francs, which was the father of Hugues Capet.
- Richilde.
