Biography
Youth
Born the October 19th 1946 with Cormeilles-in-Parisis in the Val-d'Oise, working and communist parents, it often will sell to Humanity with his/her father Rene, bricklayer's mate. Local mandates

In 1995, Robert Hue is the candidate of the Communist party to the presidential election: it collects 8,7%, vis-a-vis the competition of the troskystes of Workers' struggle, but doing better than the preceding Communist candidate, André Lajoinie at the time of the presidential election of 1988. In 1997, it supports the idea of the Plural left which sees the arrival of the left to the capacity at the time of the Third cohabitation: it becomes appointed and some communist ministers enter to the government.
During this time the Communist party continues to lose ground: the number of members passes from 200.000 in 1998 to 138.000 in 2001 whereas leaves in bookstore the black book Communism , polemical work, very disputed by many historians, who hammers deaths per million due to the the USSR and the communist China. In 2001, the Party loses most of its bastions at the time of the municipal elections. In 2002, Robert Hue is presented again to the presidential election and obtains 3,37%: Jean-Marie Le Pen, which with the general surprise is present at the second turn, clamp which the Communist party disappeared. The score is so bad that its countryside is not refunded completely and that the accounts of the Party are seriously in the red. A subscription is launched whereas it leaves the presidency of the party, leaving it for the hands of the national secretary Marie-George Buffet. The position of president of PCF, created by him, cease to exist with its departure. In 2002, it loses its mandate of deputy and it does not recover it at the time of a by-election in 2003. One year later, Robert Hue is elected senator.

- September 26th 2004: elected official senator of the Val-d'Oise, succeeding Marie-Claude Beaudeau (PCF) who did not represent himself.
