Robert Galley

Robert Galley is a politician French, born the January 11th 1921 with Paris.

Robert Galley belonged to the free French Forces. He engaged in London in July 1940, only 19 years and fought with the the 1st free French division then, until 1945, in the rows of the 2 {{E}} armor-plated division of the general Leclerc of which he married a girl. He is Compagnon of the Release.

He is Engineer of the central École of arts and manufactures and engineer of the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of oil and the engines. He exerts various functions in the sectors atomic and data-processing.

He is appointed UDR then RPR of the Aube of 1968 to 2002. He was treasurer of the RPR between 1984 and 1990.

He is several times minister of 1968 to 1981 and is mayor of Troyes of 1972 to 1995.

He is member of the committee of honor of the Mouvement Initiative and Freedom.

Since the death of Pierre Messmer in August 2007, he is regarded as the last historical gaullist. It would be necessary for that to forget Yves Guéna him also French Free of the first hour and former minister for the de Gaulle general.

  • Minister for the Co-operation in the Government Raymond Barre (1, 2 and 3) from August 29th, 1976 to December 22nd, 1980,
  • Minister for Defense and the co-operation in the Government Raymond Barre (3) from December 22nd, 1980 to May 22nd, 1981
