Robert Fachard

Robert Fachard is a French sculptor born in Paris on June 25th 1921 with Meudon.

Wire of a family of stone masons and sculptors installed in Meudon since 1850 its professional life begins in 1938 in Paris in Aeronautics and continues in Toulouse of 1941 to 1960.

It is with Toulouse that, parallel to its community activity, it begins with the sculpture its artistic formation. It has a small workshop and follows from 1941 to 1946 the courses of drawing to the School of the Art schools of the City.

He also attends in Paris, during professional displacements, the Academy of the Large Thatched cottage.

In 1950 it meets in Paris the sculptor Henri Laurens.

In 1960, it returns definitively to Meudon and resigns in 1961 of Aeronautics to devote itself entirely to the Sculpture.

In 1964 it begins in Meudon the construction of its villa-workshop where it saw and always works.
