Robert Fabre

Robert Fabre , born on December 21st, 1915 with Villefranche-with-Rouergue (Aveyron) and deceased on December 23rd, 2006 in its birthplace, was a French politician. Graduate of the Medical college and Pharmarcie of Toulouse, it followed the occupation of pharmacist. Father of four girls.
He was named the third man to have signed with François Mitterrand and Georges Marchais the programme of Union of the Left, on November 27th, 1973. He dies a few weeks only after Jean-Jacques Servan-Schreiber, the other large protagonist of the radical scission of 1973.

Political commitments
- Founder of the Movement of the radical lefts (MRG), in 1972, it took the presidency until 1978 of it.
- It was, with Georges Marchais and François Mitterrand, one of the signatories of the common program of the Union of the left.
- It had been excluded from its party following its acceptance of a mission on the employment which had been entrusted to him by Valery Giscard d'Estaing in 1979; it had then created the Fédération of the radical democracy .

It was named:- Mediator of the Republic, by the President of the Republic Valery Giscard d'Estaing, on September 19th, 1980;
- member of the Constitutional council by Louis Mermaz, then president of the National Assembly, in February 1986, is seven months before the expiry of its mandate of Mediator.
