Robert Cecil

Robert Cecil (1563 - 1612), 1st Count de Salisbury, was minister under Elisabeth Ire of England (which called it “the Pygmy”) and Jacques Ier of England.

It was sent near Henri IV, King de France, to treat peace with the Spain. It pensioned the geographer Richard Hakluyt. It contributed much to the judgment of the count d' Essex. It was filled favors by Jacques Ier, and was made count of Salisbury. He is the son of William Cecil.
