Robert Carpenter

Robert Carpenter , born in 1916 in Issy-les-Moulineaux, deceased in 1966, was a runner cyclist French amateur. In 1936, he is laid off with the Vélo Club of Levallois (the VCL), like Guy Lapébie, second of the individual test on road and that a third small drainage canal of the team of continuation by team, Goujeon… It is a gaining triplette!

Guy Lapébie always disputed to him his victory in the test over individual Olympic road. The Olympic trainer was called Paul Ruinard.

June 14th, 2005, the Sport hall Robert Charpentier (the 5th covered European sporting surface, with three gymnasia) was inaugurated by Jean-François Lamour in Issy-les-Moulineaux.
