Robert Buron

Robert Buron is a politician French, born the January 27th 1910 with Paris and deceased the April 28th 1973 with Paris.
Il was appointed MRP and minister under IVe and Ve Républiques.

Course

He was pupil with the Lycée Henri-Iv and the faculty of Droit of Paris. Doctor in right, it was also graduate Private school of the Political sciences. He takes up various duties in the economy (Chamber of commerce of Paris, trade union of the Chocolat iers). He is general secretary of the Steering Committee of the Cinéma (1940 - 1944), he takes an active part, during the occupation, with the diffusion of the clandestine press, and becomes in 1944, director of SOFIRAD and chairman of Gaumont Actualités. During the war, it takes part in the Résistance. Christian-Democrat, it adheres to the popular Democratic party then is one of the founders of the popular Republican movement with the Release.

Minister

He is appointed Mayenne of 1945 to 1959. With six recoveries, it is Ministre under the IVe République.

Then public Minister for Labor, it becomes in 1958 president of the International institute of research and formation for development harmonized (IRFED), at the request of the economist and Dominican priest Louis-Joseph Lebret.

He is in conflict with his party which did not support Mendès France. He is favorable to CED and posts liberal positions on the Algérie. He will be with Louis Joxe and Jean de Broglie one of the negotiators and signatory of the Accords of Evian, which put an end, in March 1962, with the Guerre of Algeria. With other ministers MRP, He resigns in May 1962 after the press conference of the general de Gaulle on the Europe.

Christian-Democrat, then socialist

He got busy to define a form of “Travaillisme” in the Frenchwoman endeavouring to reconcile the values Socialistes and Chrétiennes. He founds the movement Objectif 72 (either the supposed date of the presidential election (1965 +7) which takes then, in 1971, the name of Objectif Socialist. The March 18th 1971, Robert Buron takes part in Paris with a great meeting of Union of the left with the leaders of the PCF and the Socialist party. It launches a call to the Chrétiens to rejoin the left. Robert Buron takes part in the Congrès of Épinay of the Socialist party in 1971.

He was also general adviser of the Mayenne (1951 - 1970), mayor of Unpleasant-the-Juhel (1953 - 1970), then mayor of Laval of 1971 to his death in 1973. His/her daughter, Martine Buron, was Maire of Châteaubriant (Loire-Atlantique), and European Député. Its grandson, Martin Ajdari is currently managing director of Radio France.
