Robert Boyer is a economist French born the March 25th 1943. It is known as being one of the principal craftsmen of the school of the regulation.

It defines its research as follows: How and why the economic regularities they in the Histoire change? For which reasons the modes of Régulation do differ at a given time? Institutional transformations occurred since the Seventies as the research undertaken on the transformations of the Capitalisme French American then caused the emergence of problems which are grouped under the Théorie heading of the Regulation. Essentially research aims to the development of a Macroéconomie institutional and historical, through the analysis of the wage report/ratio, the systems of innovation, the monetary modes and financial, the formation of the Economic policy of the international configurations, without forgetting the history of the ideas and the economic theories. Two tools were privileged: historical studies of long period, systematic international comparisons relating to the contemporary period. More recently, the institutional bases and macrosociales of a Microéconomie were explored.
