Robert Barbault

Robert Barbault , born on January 24th, 1943 in Paris, is a specialist in the Biologie of the populations and ecology, of which on the dynamics of the populations the vertebrate ones, and the organization of the settlements. It is one of the pioneers in France of the systemic approach of the Biodiversité, with a will of application as regards Biologie of the conservation .

Functions

Specialist recognized in the Biodiversité is in 2006 professor at the University Paris VI. He directs also the Institute of ecology fundamental and applied National university. Member of the Committee Ecology and Management of the natural heritage of the Ministry for Ecology, he is also member of the UPMC and the CNRS, and director of the Département Ecology and Management of the Biodiversity of the National Muséum of Natural history (MNHN) of Paris.

He is also Doctoral principal Diversité of Alive the and corresponding and chair French Committee of the Program Mand and Biosphère (MAB) or the Man and the Biosphere of UNESCO, and he chairs the Scientific advice of the Cemagref after having been associated Scientific director of the Département of the Life sciences of CNRS.
