Robert Baer

Robert Baer (born on July 1st 1952) is an old agent of the CIA. Today international consultant, it carried out his career as an agent of the clandestine operations. Within the American secret services, he fought against the Bureaucratie, which he considered too timorous and with the source even Attentats of September 11th, 2001, consequence of many negligences on behalf of its superiors according to him. He resigned of the CIA in 1997.
Biography
Robert Baer was born with Aspen. He grows in the Colorado, practitioner the competition in Ski and hoping to become later a professional. After a passage to the Military academy of the Indiana, studies with the Georgetown university and the university of Berkeley, in California, it decides to enter to the CIA in 1976. After one year of training, in particular paramilitary, it joined the Agency as an officer of information, with the division of the clandestine operations.During a score of years, Robert Baer at the time of fighting the Islamism on all fronts, but also hesitations of the White House. He resigns of the Agency after having tried in vain to obtain the support of the Administration Clinton for the inversion of Saddam Hussein, in 1995. He then begins the drafting of a first book, the Fall of the CIA - the memories of a warrior of the shade on the faces of the Islamism (2002), in which he tells his career in a chronological way. The work reflects the state of the the Middle East at the time of the fratricidal wars, of the years 1970 until our days. It speaks there about its activities within the power station, while showing how the CIA passed from an agency of ground to an agency of office.
In its third novel … and the house will fly away, Robert Baer approaches in a romantic way, a plausible approach of the months which preceded the attacks of September 11th, 2001.
Arabist and French-speaking person, it is consulting international today and shares its time between Washington, Paris and the Burgundy, area in which it has a house.
