Robert Anton Wilson
Robert Anton Wilson or RAW (born the January 18th, 1932 and dead the January 11th 2007), is a American writer .
Its most known work - The Illuminatus! Trilogy (1975), Co-written with Robert Shea - examined in a humorous way the American Paranoïa of the Conspiration S. This book mixed information true and fiction in order to engage the reader in what Wilson calls the “Operation Mindfuck”. This book was described like a “Fairy tale for paranoiacs”. Thereafter Wilson continued to extend in his other works the topic developed in his book on the Illuminati.
In Cosmic Trigger I: Final Secrecy off the Illuminati (1977) like in other works, it made available to a broader audience from the fields such as the Discordianisme, the Soufisme, the Bouddhisme Zen, the occult practices of Aleister Crowley, the Illuminati and other philosophies esoteric S or of the Contre-culture. He is also a defender of the theses of Timothy Leary concerning the “model of conscience to eight circuits” and linguistic engineering, on the subject of which he wrote in his Prometheus Rising (1983) and Quantum Psychology (1990). With Leary, it helped to promote the ideas of space migration, of increase in the intelligence and the expansion of the life. Wilson was the lawyer of numbers of the theories utopians of Buckminster Fuller, as well as theorist of the media Marshall McLuhan and the cofounder of the Programmation neuro-linguistics, Richard Bandler.
In an interview given in 2003 to the magazine High Times , Wilson describes itself as a “model Agnostique” which consists in never not considering a model or a chart of the universe with a total faith or a total refusal.
RAW had the American position of director of the Committee for Surrealist Investigation off Claims off the Normal (Committee for the surrealist investigation of the claims to normality).
In 2006, there is reached syndrome post-polio and remains hospitalized. Not having an insurance, the expenses are covered by its savings and a bottom in support. January 6th, 2007, he wrote on his blog that the doctors estimated that it remained to him between two days and two months with living. He died five days later, on January 11th, 2007.
