Robert Adam

Robert Adam is an architect and Scottish decorator famous, born with Kirkcaldy (Fife) on July 3rd 1728 and deceased with London on March 3rd 1792.

He is the son of William Adam (1689 - 1748) architect. James Adam (1730 - 1794), brother of Robert was also architect.

Its personal style started to continue with the restoration of the interior parts of the castle of Syon House, close to London. Among his many achievements, one finds in particular the General Register House of Edinburgh, which contains the Public records of Scotland. He becomes member of the Royal Society in 1761.
