Robert " Robbie" Shakespeare is a Bassiste jamaïcain, more known to be the active member of the famous duet Sly and Robbie .

Au beginning of the Years 1970 and its musical career, Robbie Shakespeare plays in various clubs of Kingston under the name of Evil People . It is then engaged by the producer Bunny Lee like member of the backing-band The Aggrovators.
The frequentation of the studios will allow the meeting with Sly Dunbar with which Robbie will play for the first time in 1975 within the group The Revolutionaries.

With this formation, all two will be in the beginning as of 1976 rhythmic known as “ rockers ” which will influence the Reggae largely thereafter.
