Roadmaster
Roadmaster is a Romance American of Stephen King published the September 24th 2002 with the the United States under the original title From has Buick 8 . This fantastic novel is appeared in France in February 2004 with the editions Albin Michel.
Presentation
At the fine bottom of the Pennsylvania, a mysterious man vêtu of black stops filling the tank at a service station. But the man disappears under strange conditions obliging the police force, from of which Sandy Dearborn, a new recruit, to come to inquire at the station. It must put under sealed the abandoned Buick 8 Roadmaster.
It is by wanting to move the car that the police officers note that it is only one excellent reproduction of Buick: the wheel does not turn, the instrument panel is factitious… And yet, the pump assistant saw this car arriving. At this point in time in the garage where from now on the car (the Hangar B ) is stored, of mysterious phenomena are held. The team in whom Sandy is, the Compagnie D , goes of found transformed.
Sandy tells this history with Ned, the son of old of the team, Curt Wilcox, which has just been killed in a road accident and which was formerly fascinated the most by Buick.

Stephen King had as an inspiration a voyage by car which it made in 1999. Indeed, it stopped in a station gasoline of Pennsylvania and while it threw a glance in the neighborhoods, it slipped and failed to fall into a river. The idea that it could never not have been found inspired the novel to him.

Adaptation
The film adaptation of the novel will leave in 2009 to the United States. The scenario was written by Richard Chizmar. George A. Romero, which adapted several novels of Stephen King to the cinema, is the realizer.
