Road racing set of Dijon-Prenois

The Road racing set of Dijon-Prenois is a French circuit of automobile race located at Prenois close to Dijon.

The inauguration of the Automobile Stage of Dijon-Prenois, with an initial layout of 3,289 km, took place the May 26th 1972. In 1975, the layout is increased to 3,801 km.

Many races of endurance disputed on this circuit: the 500 and 1.000 km of Dijon, the 4 and 6 hours of Dijon, the Championship of the World of the protos and the Sport scars TRUSTED.

Currently, the circuit of Dijon-Prenois accommodates historical tests (Historical Grand Prix of Burgundy, Grand Prix of Old of Gold,…), of the national tests (Super Series FFSA, Swiss championship,…), as well as competitions of motor bikes.

The March 23rd 2005, the circuit of Dijon-Prenois was officially approved for one 4 years duration for all the categories of cars, except for Formula 1.

The circuit accommodated 5 Grand Prix of France of Formule 1 and a Grand Prix of Switzerland in 1982 (which will be the organized last).

Alain Prost gained there its 1st Grand Prix in 1981 with a Renault. Niki Lauda was the last winner there Formulates 1 in 1984 of them.

The record of the circuit of 1 ' 05.257 with the turn to 209,633 km/h of average was established in 1984 by Alain Prost which ran for the team McLaren.
