River initially
The Rivière initially is a Ravine drained (it is in rising only seldom in cyclonic period) located in the Overseas department of the Meeting. The River initially was the name given to the first outline of city at the beginning of the XVIIIe century. The town of Saint-Pierre was created around the site (present sources of fresh water and easy access for the boats).
