River-Low

The River-Low is a Gascon area in the north of the department French of the Hautes-Pyrénées and in the south-west of the Gers.

It is consisted of the fertile plains of the lower course of the Arros and the Boués until their junction in the Adour.

The ground consists of alluvia and Boulbène, a ground sought for ceramics.

The principal cities are Marciac, Plaisance (32), Maubourguet and Castelnau-River-Low (65).

TheLow one constitutes with the Vic-Bilh a coherent whole within the framework of the Pays of the Valley of Adour (area of Madiran).

The valley of Muds constituted old the county of Pardiac.
