Rivecourt

Rivecourt is a common French, located in the department of the Oise and the area Picardy.

Geography

History

Childebert III founded there in VIIe Siècle following a gift with the Abbaye of Saint-Wandrille a priory. the Priory of Rivecourt sheltered until 1596, date on which it was secularized, a community of 12 monks who followed the rule of holy Benoît. They are at the origin of the construction of the church of Saint Wandrille. The church and the Priory of Rivecourt were rebuilt after the fire of 895 following the Normandes invasions then towards 1513 pennies Louis XII.

Rivecourt shelters also a classified castle, with the additional inventory of the Historic buildings because of its Pleasure garden dating from the 17th Century.
