Ritopek , in Serb Cyrillic Sr Ритопек, is a locality of Serbia located in the municipality of Grocka, district of Belgrade. In 2002, it counted: 2284 inhabitants, of which a majority of Serb.

Ritopek, officially classified among the villages of Serbia, is located at 20 km in the east of Belgrade and at 19 km of Grocka, on Right Bank of the the Danube. The river floods the village regularly (flood of April 26th, 2006).

The locality forms a continuity with Boleč and Vinča. Its economy is primarily founded on the agriculture and, particularly, the intensive culture of the fruits.

Historical elements

At the time of the Roman Empire, Ritopek was called Castra Tricornia (in Latin, “the camp with three horns”).

The school of Ritopek, built in 1838, was one of the first of Serbia.
