The ripening is a process of lignification young branches of the woody Plante S.
It is a criterion important for the selection of wood to preserve in the size certain fruit trees.
Etymology
The name comes from what this process is not prolonged beyond mid-August for the trees of the moderate zones of the northern hemisphere: the branches or the parts of branches whose growth can be prolonged with beyond will not be lignified and will not push back the following year.
