Rio Calçoene

The Rio Calçoene is a Brazilian river which bathes the State of Amapá. It takes its source on the slope Is Serra Lombarda and runs overall towards the North-East to throw in the Atlantic Ocean, in the North-East of the State, by small a Estuaire sinuous. All its way is done on the municipality of Calçoene. The determination of its sources and the exploration of its course were made by Georges Brousseau. It named and determined the course of two of its affluents, Iguarapé Carnot Grande and Iguarapé Carnot Pequeno. The first joined the course upstream, the second downstream, close to the seat of the commune of Calçoene, almost in the estuary.
