Rink hockey

The rink hockey is one of the disciplines of Hockey in Roller skate. It is practiced with traditional shoes more commonly called quad S.

Appeared in 1877, this collective sport constitutes the oldest discipline of the French federation of roller-skating where it has a national committee.

Initially dominated by the Anglo-Saxons, the rink hockey is currently extremely popular in the Latin countries.

Spain, Portugal, Italy and Argentine is the Masters who make this speciality a professional sport attracting of impassioned crowd.

Material

The shoes (quads) must have nose gear wheels diameter of at least 3 cm and can comprise a thrust brake with front, nonmetal and not exceeding 5 cm of the point of the shoe.

The stick or stick must be able to pass inside a ring 5 cm in diameter. Often of wood, without metal reinforcements, comprising or not bindings or bindings of fabric, it must measure of 0,90 meter with 1,15 meter. Its maximum weight is of 500 G. The two faces of the pallet (left bent) are plane.

The ball, of linked color, with a circumference of 23 cm and weighs 155 G.

The equipment of the players comprises gloves, knuckles, shin guards and shell. The protection of the goalkeeper is more complete: special leggings, shell, drill plate, coudières, gloves, matelassé floating shirt and helmet.

Ground

The track (rink) is a plane surface and plain measuring of 36 meters to 44 meters length over a width of 18 meters to 22 meters. The corners of the track are rounded forming a half-circle of 1 meter diameter. The track is surrounded by a barrier from at least 0,20 meter in height and 1 meter in height in the international matches. The ground can be in Béton, resin, floor or even Marbre.

Rules

The team consists of 4 players of field and a goalkeeper, and as many substitutes.

The match includes/understands 2 25 minutes periods effective, with one 10 minutes half-time.

The ball can be played only with the stick and does not have to be raised with more than 1,50 m (except for the goalkeeper). Outside the penalty areas, the ball cannot be stopped with the shoe. It can at no time being shootée with the foot (release football kind). Inside the penalty areas (except for the goalkeeper) the ball should not be touched voluntarily by part of the body or shoe.

The faults are sanctioned by a frank blow (direct or indirect) or a penalty.

The frankly indirect blow is a shooting carried out by a player against the opposing team with the ball stopped at the place where the fault was made. The frankly direct blow is drawn since one of the two given points of the track, all the other players having to be with five meters behind the gunner.

The penalty, granted in the event of grave offense in the penalty area, is a shooting carried out stopped ball. The goalkeeper of the penalized team, which does not have the right to advance must place itself on her line of goal squatted; stick on the ground, all the players must be held behind the central line. They can move as of the whistle, because the ball is as of this moment concerned. The contacts are prohibited, contrary to the Hockey, and immediately sanctioned by the referee.
