Ring of strap
A ring of strap is consistent equipment of Escalade in a loop of Sangle tied or bent which can be last around a portion of rock, hung (tied) to other equipment, or even directly tied on a cord in tension by a node of Prussik, for the extension or the equalization of points of anchoring.
The rings of strap are usually sold bent in some 10 cm, 30 cm lengths, 60 cm, 120 cm or 400 cm for widths of 10 mm but 12 Misters They usually break under a force higher than 22 kilo-Newton.
These last years, the rings of strap started with used the Dyneema. Its applications nevertheless are limited with this material, since it is not dynamic (it does not lengthen), and that thus it induces a considerable force of shock on the other equipment and climbing itself in the event of fall. It is however lighter and more end that the other alternatives (Nylon), and thus popular.
