Ring Jean-Moret fencing

the circle of fencing Jean Moret of Livry-Gargan is an association of the type Loi 1901 with not-lucrative goal managed by the voluntary ones. It is equipped with remunerated professionals exempting the teaching of the Escrime.

History

In 1968, the Master Daniel Popelin, arrives at Livry-Gargan and works out some contacts with the municipality in order to create a section fencing within the Municipal Sporting Club (CSMLG). In October of the same year, the Circle of Sévigné Fencing is created, an office is made up in December and declared in Prefecture on January 18th 1969.

Jean Moret, former fencer and then person in charge of associations in the commune, is requested to set up the Section Fencing of the CSMLG. It becomes about it the Founder president and gives him its first impulses. The same year, he also created the Departmental committee of Fencing of the Seine-Saint-Denis and becomes President about it. Member of the Management Committee of the League of Ile de France, it defends the interests of our club and the department. He disappears brutally in full activity in 1973 and it is at the time of the General meeting of March 1st that its name is given to the Club.
