Rilly-the-Mountain is a common French, located in the department of the Marne and the area Champagne-Ardenne.

History

Rilly-the-mountain is one of the oldest villages of the Montagne de Reims. Indeed, the polyptyque one of the monks of the abbey of Rémy Saint, dating from years 850, reveals us the presence of two presses: Rilly was called then " Risleius". One finds there also a splendid church of Romance style, " the church St Nicolas" , dating from XIIeme century. Lastly, the " god protecteur" , the emblême of this village is Bacchus, Romain god of the wine and intoxication, compared to the Greek god Dionysos. One can find besides a statue of Bacchus street Carnot.

Life with Rilly-the-Mountain

The daily newspaper with Rilly is that of an animated rural district. Each day, more than 500 young people find themselves in the college and the schools of the commune.
