Rijksmuseum
Rijksmuseum is the name of the “Musée S nationals” of the Netherlands. When one speaks about the Rijksmuseum, it is generally about Rijksmuseum of Amsterdam, one of the principal museums of the country. The museum has a collection of art and history, in particular comprising many paintings of the XVII {{E}} century, the “Siècle of gold” of the Netherlands.
History
The museum was established in 1800 with $the Hague to show the collections of the stathouders Dutch. With the orders of the king Louis Napoleon, brother of Napoleon Bonaparte, the museum settles with the Paleis COp of Prejudice of Amsterdam in 1808. Many paintings had by the town of Amsterdam were added there.Since 1885, the museum is on the current site, with the Museumplein, very close to the Musée van Gogh and to the Stedelijk Museum. The building was designed by the Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers, with a rich person ornamentation and much of references to the history of the Netherlands.

Among the other painters represented are Jan Steen, Jan van Scorel, Jacob van Ruisdael, Hendrick for the third time Brugghen, Quiringh van Brekelenkam and Willem Buytewech. There are also a great exposure on the history of the Netherlands and a large collection of art Asiatique.
