Rienzi

Rienzi (the last of the powerful orators) is a opera of Richard Wagner telling the history of Cola di Rienzo, and being held in the medieval Rome.

Rienzi, one of the first operas of Wagner, was very appreciated by the admirors of the type-setter. It is very however only seldom presented since the years 1940, and this, even in Germany. “Disavowed” in a certain way by Wagner itself, it does not have established among with the Festival of Bayreuth.

Argument

The Rienzi young person lived at one miserable time for the people of Rome. He carried out a Révolution then, having taken the capacity by the will of the Roman people, he gave again in Rome his beauty and his force of antan in the Art S, the Science S and the Culture. The years passed and slowly Rienzi lost its influence and the people again revolted but this time against him. Rienzi curses forever the people of Rome before dying in Rome put at fire and bag.
