Biography
Richard B.Riddick is the hero of a stellar saga in two volumes of Alan Dean Foster (a third, left between-volume published forever). Originating in the Furia planet, disappeared Planet which sheltered the greatest race of warriors of the universe, it is one of the rare survivors, believing even to be only and having little knowledge on its world or its origins. Among the furiens (furyans) some would die before their birth, reappearing with capacities out of the commun run, Riddick is one of his/her children, having undergone an ocular surgery in prison to acquire a night vision, which carves all the universe of this saga where even the colors seem black. Rebellious character refusing any form of authority, born warrior, with the limit of the animal instinct. Continued by all the universe for what it is, whereas it forget, it constantly tries to be made appears in the first volume ( Pitch Black ) as a most required criminal of the universe, prisoner of a mercenary/hunter of premium on the way towards the penitentiary on board a vessel of civil transport, after a crash landing on a deserted planet at the day without end, but in phase to return in a phase of eclipse for ten days, releasing on our some survivors of the creatures which, in reflection of our hero, leave the entrails of planet only during these secular periods of permanent nights. After many adventures he manages to leave planet in company of Jack, a girl (who tries to be dissimulated while grimant itself under the features of a boy) and of a himam. One eight years follows period before the second volume where one knows only that after having deposited the survivors it ground to escape to the mercenaries and the police forces launched to his cases. The third volume should have covered this period. In the Chronicles of Riddick , it has been for 5 years in exile on a cold planet. It makes a return forced (by mercenaries) in civilization, on Helion precedes to put an end to the contract which weighs on him. On this planet the only man is who knew where it went 5 years earlier: the himam which makes some it made seek to fight a race of most fatal: Necromongers. The latter convert the worlds and destroy those which resist to them in their tour towards Antevers, they have only one law: ( You preserves what you kill ). The only race which the chief of Necromongers fears is the furiens whose Riddick is one of the last survivors, according to a prophecy it is a furien which must announce their fall. After being last by the penitentiary (located 7 km under ground) of Crématoria, a planet where it makes more than 700 degrees (Fahrenheit) the day and the -300 night, it finds Kira there (in the past Jack in the film Pitch Black ). It turns over on Helion Precedes where it faces Nécromongers. After a combat against Lord Marshall that Riddick ends up gaining, he becomes their chief according to their law. In short large a saga epic adapted in the field of science fiction (without robots nor pretty very coloured costumes) with action well retransmise in films but even more fascinating in the books!
