Richard John Carey known as " Rick" (° Mount Kisco in the County of Westchester, the March 13rd 1963) is a swimmer states-unien, specialist in the Dos-crawlé.
Biography
Rick Carey is selected in the team of the United States in order to take part in the Olympic Games of summer of 1980 in Moscow and to make, thus, its international beginnings; however, because of the invasion of Afghanistan by the Soviet Union, the USA and of many countries pro-Westerners boycott these Plays.In 1982, he is world champion of the test of the 200 m back and the relay 4x100 m 4 strokes with the states-unienne team and vice-champion of the world of the test of the 100 m back. In 1983, the monthly magazine decrees to him the title of swimmer of the year.
At the time from its 1 Olympic Games, in 1984, it gains three gold medals.
At the time of its sporting career, that it gives up in 1986, it beat nine world records, 5 individual and 4 with the states-unienne team of the relay 4x100 m 4 strokes.
