Richter stage
The stage Richter is an old football stadium of Montpellier where the Olympic stadium Montpelliérain evolved/moved (then its successor, the Montpellier Littoral Sport Club), between 1965 and 1974. On rare occasions, the Montpellier Paillade Sport Club also pressed this lawn between 1974 and 1977.
Built at the end of the Years 1960, it replaces the old man Parc of the Sports of the avenue Pont Juvénal.
As from 1977, the stage did not any more accommodate meetings of football and definitively left its place to the Stade of Mosson located at Paillade. It is transformed then into space of spectacles.
Concerts like that of Michael Jackson, of the Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen,… proceeded with Richter .
At the beginning of the Years 1990, part of the Université Montpellier 1 is built on the ruins of the old stage.
