Richie Hawtin

Richie Hawtin (born on June 4th, 1970) is a dj and a Canadian producer of music Techno. It uses also the pseudonyms Plastikman and Fuse .

At the 15 years age, Richie Hawtin attends the clubs of Détroit and becomes dj at 17 years. It mixes the House and the techno with the body-music ( EBM ) of Nitzer Ebb and Front 242. It takes for model Jeff Mills, a dj of the Années 1980 which one then called The Wizard and which was stimulating of an emission on the radio operator Strait 96.3FM. With John Acquaviva, it founds the label Plus 8 in 1989 and organize the first electronic evenings with Détroit (called Warehouse ).

Its first titles leave in 1993, primarily under the pseudonyms Plastikman and Fuse. The Plus-8 label makes it possible to discover new artists: Speedy J, Beautiful daN and Kenny Larkin in particular. In the middle of the Years 1990, it launches out in the productions of many experimental albums which are a great success. During its mix, Richie Hawtin mixes the sound of electronic instruments with the discs vinyls which it passes to platinums. He is also a contemporary art lover.
