Richie Furay

Richie Furay , is a Chanteur, Compositeur and Guitariste American, especially known to have belonged to the rock groups Buffalo Springfield and Poco.

Biography

The first group of which it formed part called " In Go Go Singers" because it occurred with the famous coffee " In Go Go" of New York. This group counted nine members of which Stephen Stills which will invite it later to found the group Buffalo Springfield.

Ritchie Furay composed several titles for Buffalo Springfield, of which that of simple a has Child' S claim to famed . The group separated in 1968 following dissensions between Stephen Stills and Neil Young.

Furay formed then the group Poco with Jim Messina (ex Buffalo Springfield) and Rusty Young.

It left Poco in 1974 to join the Souther, Hillman, Furay Band. The bass player of the group Al Perkins (which will play later with Stephen Stills) introduced Furay with the Christianisme, before the group does not separate for lack of success.

Furay then founded a new group The Richie Furay Band, which carried out an album I' ve Got has Reason in 1976 which expresses the new convictions of Furay.

Since the beginning of the years 1980, Richie Furay is Pasteur with Broomfield (Colorado). It however continues to occur in solo and in an occasional way with the Poco group.
